Get Outside this Earth Day! (with a little help from the Sierra Club)

Earth Day is this Sunday, April 22. This year, the Sierra Club is asking everyone to spend just a little more time outside – anything from going for a walk instead of a drive, visiting a park or climbing a mountain!

Sierra Club founder John Muir believed that if you brought people outside and they fell in love with the land, they would feel inspired to protect it. Through its newest free app, the Sierra Club is providing an easy way to explore and enjoy the wilderness in your own backyard or across the country. Using Trail Explorer, you can find, record and share information about 40,000 North American trails quickly and easily on your iPhone or iPad! The link to download is http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sierra-club-trail-explorer/id513203949?mt=8

Of course, you don't need an iPhone to get outdoors—check out Sierra Club Outings for more trips for all ages, abilities, budgets, and interests.
